At Crown of Glory Worship Center and Ministries, we believe that love is the heartbeat of the Gospel. The Community Outreach Initiative is a Christ-centered community engagement movement rooted in Mark 12:31. Our mission is to foster deeper relationships, encourage spiritual unity, and cultivate a culture of love, empathy, and service among our church and local neighborhoods. Whether through prayer, fellowship, or small acts of kindness, this initiative seeks to reflect the heart of Jesus and bring healing, connection, and peace to our surrounding community.
Program Overview
In a world marked by division, isolation, and loneliness, the Community Outreach initiative stands as a beacon of hope and unity. We intentionally reach out to connect, uplift, and love others as Christ commands—meeting spiritual, emotional, and practical needs with joy and compassion.
Our activities focus on being present in our neighborhoods, creating inclusive spaces for connection, and allowing the love of God to flow through every conversation, meal, prayer, and kind gesture.
Key Activities
Community Prayer Walks
Every month, we walk through different neighborhoods, praying over families, homes, schools, and local leaders. These walks are powerful expressions of spiritual intercession and healing, bringing peace to our streets and hope to our communities.
Acts of Kindness Week
An annual celebration of love-in-action! Church members volunteer their time and talents to serve others through random and intentional acts of kindness: helping seniors with chores, providing meals to the homeless, mentoring youth, visiting hospitals, writing encouraging notes, and more.
Multicultural Celebration Sundays
We celebrate the beautiful diversity within the body of Christ through worship, food, and fellowship. Every culture is welcomed and honored as we showcase various worship styles, languages, traditional dress, and meals from around the world—demonstrating that God’s kingdom transcends all borders.
